Set your budget
Before you start making any decisions about wedding venues or suppliers, it’s important to set a budget so that you have an idea of how much money is available for each element of your wedding and the approximate number of guests you’ll be expecting. This will also help keep costs under control as you go along.
Choose your wedding date
Once the budget has been established, pick out two or three potential dates for your wedding that work best with the wedding party. Then once you’ve chosen your venue, you’ll be able to choose the final date.
Find a venue & book suppliers
Now the fun begins! It’s time to choose where your ceremony and wedding reception will take place. Start by making a shortlist of suitable venues online before visiting them in person to see what they offer and if they fit your vision. Once you’ve chosen your venue, you’ll be able to select suppliers to include a caterer, photographer, videographer, florist, wedding cake maker etc.
Order Invitations & Other Stationery Items
Next up, its time to choose your wedding invitations and wedding stationery which may include, Save the Date cards (to be sent out at least 6 months prior to the wedding date), your wedding invites, along with RSVP cards at least 12 weeks prior, place settings and thank you cards.
Confirm arrangements with suppliers
A few weeks before the wedding, make sure you’ve contacted all the suppliers involved in your wedding day to confirm and finalise any outstanding details so that everything runs smoothly on the day.
Add the finishing touches
Finish off any wedding decorations or special touches for your wedding day and book in the final dress fitting.
Enjoy your big day
Most importantly, make sure you enjoy every moment of your wedding day because the memories you create will last forever.
